Parsing

Understand every page the way a human would

Klaaro takes documents in from the app, the API, an SDK, or a webhook, then maps out the layout of each page: headings, tables, lists, and the regions that belong together. Later steps work from that structure.

  1. 1

    Ingest

Upload in the app, or send the file from your DMS, an SDK, the API, or a webhook. If you upload documents in batches, they are processed in parallel.

  2. 2

    Segment

Each page is split into regions to understand where relevant information is stored. Printed text, handwriting, tables, and images are also not treated as one blob.

  3. 3

    Keep the structure

Headings and tables inform what extraction is allowed to claim later. The meaning of the page survives the parse.

What parsing does for you

Reads the files you already work with

Scans, PDFs, Office and Pages files, spreadsheets, photos, and plain text. Forward an email, and its attachments come in too.

Long documents in one go

Up to 1,000 pages and 50 MB per file, so a full contract or a year of statements goes in as one document, not in pieces.

Multi-column pages in reading order

Columns, sidebars, and footnotes are read in the order a person would read them, not line by line across the page.

More than 50 languages

Text is recognized in more than 50 languages, including English and German, so documents from suppliers abroad go through the same flow.
